More than two years ago we decided to create a flexible and powerful software that would integrate all the steps necessary to write an academic text. We thought of four stages oft the process in which such a program would have to excel: collecting source material, organizing ideas, the actual writing, and publishing the result.
Our next big step will be to implement the possibility to reciprocally link all of the elements with each other, to make one huge associative web that pictures your own thoughts and ideas and helps you to follow the traces of your research through time. The animated film we published a few months ago might help you to understand what we are going for.
We are proud to say that after two years of work we have reached an important milestone. The first public beta version that we offer for a free 30-day-trial today is still a far cry from what we envision for the future, but it is a solid base to build on. Expect exciting new features shortly!
By the way, while WriteFlow is still beta, we would like to offer a 10 Euro discount on the normal sales price. Just enter this coupon code: 033903.

WriteFlow is public beta
Friday, December 11th, 2009Betatest update
Wednesday, November 11th, 2009After a few weeks of beta testing we got some pretty interesting insight into our own work and we would like to thank everybody who participates.
What we really learned is that WriteFlow might (not yet) be as intuitive to use as we are hoping for. We imagine WriteFlow as a very easy to use word processor with all the other great features on top, but the whole element system requires some compromises and early adopters of WriteFlow will have to invest some time in learning how to use it.
We just hope people won’t give up too fast. Once you accept the demands of this way of writing you can become incredibly productive. Even more so with the features to come.
In the meantime, we’re working on a lot of bugs, rewrote the Inspector, implemented mouse control for the Command Tool, added fullscreen mode to the PDF and webarchive views, etc.
The new update will be out before the end of the week through the integrated update function.
WriteFlow – shifting paradigms
Monday, March 30th, 2009Today we published this short clip which obviously does not show you the real looks of WriteFlow. It’s intended to give you a feeling about WriteFlow and its possibilities. Please tell us if you like it!
We would like to mention wert5.at, who created the animation, Bernhard Kuri, who wrote and performed the music, the post production by extrasolaris.com,, Alessandro Arico responsible for the WriteFlow icon and Benjamin Eisinger for the WriteFlow logo.
